An excitable day ensued today with a visit to Barry Island; the sun, the sea, the sand - I love.
Where to begin: the inability to get up this morning, panicking as I could not find the bucket and spade or the long train journey....
Well, after the train journey me, Karan, Chloe, Chloe, Leah and Mair made our wandering way to the beach (which I found surprisingly empty, before realising it was a schoolday). We set up camp on the dry sand and the girls were set on the important task of sunbatheing. I, unsuccessfully, put up the wind-breaker.
Succumbing to childish activities, I played with my spade and bucket and created sandHendredenny :)
I continued this for a good two hours before going to the cafe with Karan and Chloe D.
I had chips and bacon roll! This made me happy as I was very hungry [other than angry and hungry.....find another -gry word and tell me please, ta].
The shops beckoned Chloe and Karan after eating so we looked around. Chloe found a tiny dragon to buy Lloyd, and I saw an inflatable boat I want soooo much....it'd be so fun to go in! But i had no money. No money = disapointment.
Back on the beach we played volleyball :D .... after trying to weigh down the ball with water (and then realising the water made it like hitting a rock) and then releasing some water, we played the match...Extremely tense, it was ... And of course, it could be seen that my side (with Chloe and sometimes Mair) would win :P. The amount of times we danced our victory dance = lots.
Sea was good, although my jeans are soaked...(unable to wear them in the picnic tomorrow, although Leah did threaten that there would be no mercy if I did choose to wear them; as much as I detest shorts, I might wear some)
Penny machines, Bingo game thing leading to us winning a mug for Karan, two more little dragons for Chloe and two sweets for me :D aren't I lucky?
All in all, bravo to Thursday... beats schools and exams most definately
Moi
